Presentation to a minimum of 50 second level schools in Ireland each academic year
Where the Griffith Presentation is not feasible the schools liaison officer must conduct a study-skills presentation within schools
Updating of the schools presentation to make it relevant and engaging
Liaising with Guidance Counsellors / Career Advisors on behalf of the College in order to organise, deliver and manage the majority of the school and third level visits, presentations, exhibitions and seminars.
Maintaining relationships and establishing new relationships with relevant second level and FETAC providers nationwide.
Attendance at the Annual CAO conferences on behalf of Griffith College
Providing a support to outreach campuses in Cork and Limerick in respect of schools’ liaison activities.
Handling full and part-time enquiries knowledgeably by phone, in person and by e-mail and forwarding information to prospective students and guidance counsellors.
Organisation of the annual training seminar with the Institute of Guidance Counsellors.
Responsibility for setting dates, organising and managing the annual Griffith Open Events.
Promotion and maintenance of the specific sections of the external web-site.
Development, co-ordination and promotion in a number of schools competitions to build brand awareness including hosting competition finals on campus.
Co-ordination and staffing of large exhibitions (Higher Options and FAS Opportunities).
Promotion and administration of the Griffith College Dublin Scholarship Scheme.
Advising the admissions and marketing department on development opportunities (eg courses, competitive positions, etc).
Conducting market research with teachers, prospective students, current students, past students in respect of the College’s courses.
Work as a team member in the development of the Griffith College prospectus and other marketing materials.
Involvement in the Admissions and Registration processes of the College at the busiest periods of the year.
Advising current Griffith College Dublin students on their transfer and progression opportunities both within the college and with other educational institutions
Advising current Griffith College Dublin students on graduate career opportunities
The responsibilities of personnel within the Communications and Admissions Department may change over time in line with the needs of the organisation.
Promotion of SILC (Sino Irish Language Centre) at Griffith College Dublin, which is a new initiative to establish exchange with Chinese and Irish second level students in Transition year.
Provide Pastoral Care support to International students
Organising Airport Pickups for international students
Assisting in Timetable facilitation for 1 semester students
Assisting in the induction / orientation of new students
Liaising with the Griffith Halls of Residence about incoming international students taking accommodation
Arranging social events for international students in collaboration with the Students Union
Responding to all enquiry emails to international@gcd.ie and converting these enquiries to sales
Special Conditions of Employment:-In order to visit and provide presentations to second and third level institutions, the successful candidate must have a car and full driving licence– approved mileage rates will be paid.
Periods of annual leave are not facilitated during the busiest time of the year ie the months of August and September.
