Purpose of role:
The Demand Planner must be able to manage the production planning process to ensure customer service requirements are met on time.
Responsibilities:
- Work with team to devise, develop and produce a production plan .
- Collect, analyse and report on performance metrics for example, inventory, customer demand v sales forecast, plan v actual production.
- Work with Production, Purchasing, Stores and Customer Service to ensure shipment of product against delivery dates. Where necessary liase with Sales on promises made and updates.
- Liase with Sales Team to produce plan and advise Purchasing team on weekly basis of volume of purchases required.
- Issue work order of Production lines on daily basis.
- Develop, where necessary, and maintain ERP system for planning function and shop floor control.
- Ensure the correct distribution of inventories to stocking points to supply customers on time.
- Participate in other related projects / work as required.

-Work, Excel and knowledge of MRP/ERPREQUIRED .
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
-Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
-A Third Level Technical Qualification is desirable
-Engineering / Technical / Mechanical / background is desirable.
-Computer literate: Microsoft Office Essential.
-SAP knowledge is required.
-A minimum of 3 years experience in a Production Control or Project Management environment desirable.
