Boots Ireland continues to expand its pharmacy-led health and beauty retail operations nationwide with two key appointments.
Linda Nolan joins as head of marketing, while Michelle Kearns joins as head of IT. Both will join the company’s Irish leadership team.
Stephen Watkins, managing director, Boots Ireland, said: “Linda and Michelle both join with extensive careers in relevant sectors and I’m looking forward to working with them as we continue to evolve the Boots Ireland offering for both our customers and colleagues nationwide.”
Linda Nolan will lead all marketing operations in the Republic of Ireland, overseeing a team of six people to deliver a multi-channel marketing programme.
She previously held senior marketing roles for 14 years with Samsung Electronics, notably as director of marketing for six years. She started her career in marketing with HP.
Michelle Kearns will lead the IT functions of Boots Ireland, including internal systems and boots.ie, users of which have grown significantly since the onset of Covid-19.
She joins Boots Ireland after 17 years working for Caredoc, a GP co-op providing healthcare services throughout Ireland, notable as a chief information officer for the past four years.
During this time, she was seconded to the HSE as a founding member of the Council of Clinical Information Officers and spent time as an adviser to the World Health Organisation. In 2016, she founded, and still holds the role of director, at One HealthTech Ireland, a network that supports and promotes openness, inclusion, kindness, and diversity in health innovation.
