Blackrock College, founded in 1860, is one of Ireland’s oldest and most successful Catholic Secondary schools. It is a fee-paying Day and Boarding school with a current enrolment of 1,000 students.

The school is under the trusteeship of the Spiritan Education Trust which was established in 1999 and now exercises the trustee function for a family of ten schools.
