Accounts Assistant

CareerWise Recruitment are delighted to be working with a Transaction and Advisory firm in Cork City Centre on a new role that has recently come available for an experienced Accounts Assistant.

This role would be based fully on site in the city centre, and will join a small finance function.

Please see below the responsibilities and some requirements in order to be successful in this process.

THE ROLE:

* Processing of accounting transactions and invoices etc 

* Prepare and file VAT returns to Revenue

* Monthly balance sheet reconciliations 

* Processing of client bank payments

* Supporting the preparation of final accounts

* Run weekly and monthly payroll and submit to Revenue

* Assisting senior members of the team in terms of delivery of corporate transactions

* Ad-hoc work as required 

*  Client management

REQUIREMENTS:

* Qualified Accounting Technician or similar qualification desirable

* Experience working in a similar firm in a similar role also desirable

* Excellent attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work as part of a team and independently as required.
