Assistant Financial Controller

A new permanent position has just come available, an experienced Accountant looking to progress into an Assistant Financial Controller role. The Assistant Financial Controller will work as part of the Senior Finance team and you will be responsible for managing the hotel operations of a number of hotels.

The company is a Hotel group based in Wexford and has an excellent reputation locally.

This role is based Wexford from Monday to Friday onsite.

THE ROLE:

* Participation in all Senior Management meetings of the Hotel

* Maximisation of Gross Profits Percentage in Food and Beverage areas.

* Control and reporting of wages percentage within the various departments.

* Maximising of Room Revenue through contribution to Yield Manager.

* Purchasing, ensure the relevant controls are in place for the purchasing and delivering of all hotel products.

* You will be responsible for the full range of accounting functions including monthly management accounts, cash flow statements, maintaining internal accounting controls, month end and preparing budgets

* You will be involved in the corporate side of the businesses. You will liaise with banks, hotel insurance, external auditors and company solicitors

* Cost control

REQUIREMENTS:

* You will be a fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CPA)

* You will have 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the Hotel Industry

* You will be proficient on Microsoft Office including Excel
