An Automation (Controls) Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based client. Become part of a growing multi-disciplinary team delivering automated equipment solutions from concept through to full implementation. Machine control system software design, development & commissioning. A great opportunity to gain varied experience in the design of high-tech engineering applications
THE ROLE:
* Design and integrate control system software for automated machines including PLCs, Robotics, Motion, HMI, SCADA, Vision
* Develop, test, commission & support machine control software
* Design of equipment to CE, electrical, machinery safety and clients’ standards
* Interpret & develop design & validation documentation required for regulated industries (URS, FDS, FAT, etc)
* Specification of control system components
* Collaborate closely within a multi-disciplinary project team throughout an entire project life cycle
REQUIREMENTS:
* PLC & HMI experience desirable, preferably with Allen Bradley
* Knowledge of automated machine design, specification & development
* Ability to create technical documentation
* Familiarity with robotics, motion control, machine vision, pneumatics an advantage
* Excellent communication skills
* Proactive and energetic approach
* Strong organisational skills
* A quality minded outlook and a problem-solving attitude
* Needs to work well in a multifunctional team
* Driving Licence and ability to travel
