CNC Machinist

A CNC Machinist is required for a well-established manufacturing company based in Mayo. They supply into the top tier Multinational companies.

THE ROLE:

• CNC Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes) to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, and turning.
• Programming: Read and interpret engineering blueprints, drawings, and CAD files to create and modify CNC programs.
• Tooling Setup: Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools required for each job.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and correct issues during machining processes, making adjustments to CNC programs as needed.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including machine settings, part dimensions, and production times.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education:. Completion of a CNC machining program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical Skills:
• Experience in mechanical assembly, Pneumatics, troubleshooting of automation equipment and advantage
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of CNC machine operation, including G-code programming.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments
