EHS and Sustainability Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an EHS and Sustainability Manager to join a leading food company based in the North Cork region. This key role is responsible for driving best-practice strategies, ensuring strong governance, and leading the implementation of the company’s Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) and Sustainability programs.

THE ROLE:
* Develop, implement and monitor the Health and Safety strategy across the business
* Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture that actively promotes health and safety
* Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and drive ongoing improvement in Environmental and Sustainability.
* Develop, implement and monitor the company’s Environmental Strategy.
* Measure and report the company’s sustainability performance, including Water, Gas and Electricity usage

REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in Environmental Science, Health and Safety, Science, Engineering, or similar
* Experience with IPPC licensing requirements is essential
* Manufacturing experience in the food industry strongly preferred
* At least 2 years' people management experience
* Focus will be more on the Environmental side, experience dealing with the EPA, in a Factory with its own Waste Water Treatment plant would be advantageous. ,
