Electrical/Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Maintenance Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team in West Cork. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with automated and semi-automated production lines while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

THE ROLE:
* Perform planned and reactive preventative maintenance on production equipment.
* Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults to minimize downtime.
* Work collaboratively within a small, dynamic engineering team to drive process improvements.
* Respond efficiently to breakdowns within a defined timeframe.
* Manage spare parts procurement and liaise with external contractors.
* Support project management activities as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 4+ years’ experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance with strong fault-finding skills.
* Knowledge of pneumatic control systems is an advantage.
* Ability to work both independently and within a team.
* Understanding of industrial control instrumentation.
* Experience with PLC-based automation is a distinct advantage.
