Electronic Test Engineer

An Electronic Test Engineer is needed by CareerWise Recruitment for a Cork based electronics client. The person will work on IC Test and Characterisation for semiconductor and optical products.

THE ROLE:

• Undertake characterisation and validation of electro-optical devices including driver and receiver ICs, LEDs, Lasers, photo-detectors and electro-optical transceivers.
• Support design teams in the product debug cycle and being responsible for the characterisation of the new devices.
• Work closely with design and product engineering teams to successfully release products to manufacturing.
• The development of production test programs for such devices.
• Responsible for hands-on work in the lab, set up lab equipment, develop and set up customized lab equipment as required for testing designs and new assemblies.

REQUIREMENTS:

• BE or BSc in Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in high-speed IC Characterisation or IC Validation within a lab environment.
• Automation of the acquisition of characterisation / measurement data.
• Hands-on test, measure and debug skills.
• Experience of LabView or Python software development
• Candidates must be eligible to work in Ireland.
