Mechanical Design Engineer

Mechanical Design Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Mayo based

Manufacturing client.  If you are an innovator and want to work in a wide variety of projects in a small to medium size company then this position is for you!!!

THE ROLE:

• Design and Development:
  Create detailed mechanical designs using Solidworks or Fusion, ensuring that components meet functional and performance requirements. Develop innovative solutions to meet specific technical challenges.
• Prototyping and Testing:
  Work on the development and testing of prototypes. Analyze test data, modify designs based on feedback, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Technical Documentation:
  Generate detailed engineering drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and technical documentation. Ensure all documentation adheres to internal standards and is up to date.
• Collaborative Engineering:
  Work closely with electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs with other systems.
• Project Management:
  Manage and prioritize multiple design projects simultaneously. Meet project deadlines and communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
• Quality and Compliance:
  Ensure designs adhere to quality standards and are compliant with applicable safety and industry regulations. Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supplier Engagement:
  Coordinate with suppliers to ensure mechanical components are produced according to design specifications.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education:
  Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience:
  Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design. Experience with mechanical systems, product development, and manufacturing processes is essential.
• Proficiency in  Solidworks Or Fusion
