Microbiology Analyst

A Microbiology Analyst is required by CareerWise Recruitment to work with a Cork based multinational on a minimum 12 month contract position. Attractive hourly rate on offer.

The Microbiology Analyst is also responsible for supporting site activities related to product and non-product monitoring programs including those for sterilization and the Cleanroom environment in accordance with cGMP regulations.

THE ROLE:
* Bacterial Endotoxin Method development and Qualification, as per USP/EP/AAMI requirements
* Bacterial endotoxin testing (BET) of product and process water.
* Process water sample collection
* Scheduling of Testing for bacterial Endotoxin test program
* Routine testing of product and process water samples for BET
* Provide input in to Risk assessment relating to BET activities, and other product/non-product test programs
* Ensure laboratory consumable stocks are maintained
* Completion of project work and implementation of activities to improve the efficiency of the laboratory function
* Management of Internal Order program to ensure product builds manufactured on time for scheduled testing

REQUIREMENTS:
* Hands on experience in relation to Bacterial Endotoxin testing using the methods described above is highly desirable
* Education: BSc in Microbiology, Certificate or Diploma in Biology/Analytical Sciences
* 2-3 years’ experience minimum working in a laboratory, ideally in a Medical Device/Pharma setting.
* A highly motivated person, capable of working under their own initiative is sought for this role.
