Principal Automation Engineer

A Principal/ Senior  Automation Engineer  is required by CareerWise Recruitment to join our based Cork based MN manufacturing client. Role will lead automation initiatives and drive innovation within the engineering team.

ROLE:

*  Lead the design, develop, and implement automation solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize processes across our operation.

* Provide technical oversight of multiple projects and will provide support, where required, for engineers developing and implementing projects, while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automated systems.

* Lead the design and implementation of automation strategies across projects.

* Technical leadership of engineers working on the Automated systems, as required.

* Design and implement end-to-end automated test scripts for various applications.

* Develops technical solutions to complex technical problems where analysis of situations requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

* Develop documentation for automated systems to allow for standardization.

* Work closely with product managers, software developers, and quality assurance teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.

* Provide training and support to end-users on new automation systems and processes.

* Oversee automation projects from conception to execution, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

* Track project milestones and deliverables, managing risks and issues proactively.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 

* 8+ years of experience in automation engineering/systems.

* Proven track record of leading successful automation projects and teams.

* Capable of technically leading and coaching a multi-disciplined team in an aggressive, dynamic and results motivated environment

* Strong understanding of control systems, robotics, and industrial automation.
