Operating since 1994, Clúid is one of the leading housing bodies in Ireland and has been designated Approved Housing Body (AHB) status by the Department of Housing, Local Government, and Heritage.

Clúid is seeking an innovative and visible Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth and impact. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and visionary leader, adept at fully engaging with colleagues, residents, stakeholders, and partners. The CEO will be responsible for driving strategic direction, operational excellence, and upholding the social mission of Clúid. Showing a clear sense of vision and social purpose, the CEO will possess a collegiate and empowering leadership style that extends across the organisation.

Reporting to the Chair and Board of Clúid the CEO’s key responsibilities will include:

Strategy: Lead the development and implementation of Clúid’s strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s mission and vision.

Leadership: Set direction and provide clear leadership for the development and attainment of Clúid’s strategic goals, objectives, and financial plans.

People Management: Lead and develop the Executive Leadership Team and wider staff, creating an environment that supports and encourages trust, teamwork, innovation, continuous improvement and high performance.

Governance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote best practices in corporate governance.

Risk Management: Foster a proactive risk management culture and oversee the corporate risk register.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including residents, government agencies, partners, and the local communities served by Clúid.

Culture: Promote a culture of innovation, transparency, and high performance.

This role requires a balance of strong commercial acumen and a deep commitment to social purpose.

The ideal Candidate will have:

A track record of successful and innovative senior leadership experience in a comparable organisation, where the customer is at the heart.

Deep appreciation of, and affinity for, social and affordable housing policy and regulation.

A track record of being a strong ambassador, able to represent Clúid at a national level with key stakeholders and partners – with clear political understanding.

A proven personal track record of change management, where there have been tangible outcomes – with a particular focus on customers, operations and culture.

Strong financial management skills and the ability to balance short term demand with long term financial planning.

Evidence of supporting, nurturing and galvanising leadership teams while championing the values and behaviours of the organisation at all levels.

An understanding of the regulatory landscape and the ability to navigate compliance requirements.
