CAD Engineer/Senior CAD Technician

On behalf of their Client, Kenny-Whelan are hiring a CAD Engineer/Senior CAD Technician for a Global Life Science Company in Cork. 

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Generating/drafting P&IDs, PFDs, BFDs, updating E&I drawing packs

• Ensuring Drafting, Equipment Codes, Drawing/Sheet numbers, etc, are correctly used by technical personnel

• Preparing electrical drawings from verbal instructions & sketches

• Keeping records and documenting, tracking engineering, maintenance & utility drawings 

• Issuing tags for all plant equipment & instruments 

• Generating and drafting motor and control panel schematics, overall system layouts,

single line drawings, block cable drawings, instrument loops

• Identifying hazardous areas such as lighting, fire alarm systems, & etc. 

• Updating electrical & instrument drawings

Education and Requirements: 

• Qualified AutoCAD 2D and 3D, City & Guilds, 

• Electrical apprenticeship or relevant qualification. 

Additional Skills desired: 

 5 years + experience on a Pharmaceutical/Biotech Site essential

 Working with a Capital Projects Team very desirable

o Ability to prioritise workload in accordance with timelines 

o Proven experience of working as an individual and as part of a team

o Continuous Improvement mindset i.e. always looking for a better, more efficient way
