Microbiology Analyst - Pharma Client in Cashel

Location: Cashel, Ireland

Job Type: Full-time (onsite)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Flexible working hours with core hours from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM; flexibility required during busy periods)

Are you an experienced Microbiology Analyst looking for an exciting opportunity in the pharmaceutical industry? Our esteemed client based in Cashel is seeking a dedicated and skilled professional to join their team. This role offers a competitive salary and great benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Environmental Monitoring Program and conduct associated risk assessments.
• Validate equipment and test methods for microbiological tests.
• Perform growth promotion testing and manage microbial cultures.
• Conduct microbial limit testing on products and active ingredients.
• Support the compressed air program and site water strategy.
• Prepare and review laboratory procedures, specifications, and reports.
• Execute protocols for various microbiological tests.
• Participate in microbiological investigations and change controls.
• Support technical audits and regulatory audits/visits (HPRA/FDA).
• Manage daily laboratory activities including consumables/media management, laboratory cleaning, equipment management, temperature monitoring, and waste management.

Desired Qualifications:

• Minimum third-level qualification in Microbiology, Biological Science, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a GMP Microbiology Laboratory.
• Experience in Compendial Method verifications.
• Technical understanding of Environmental Monitoring and Contamination Control Strategy requirements (Annex 1).
• Knowledgeable of FDA/EMEA regulatory requirements applicable to pharmaceuticals.
• Proven technical, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
