Role Overview:
As a Process Engineer, you will be instrumental in improving production processes to achieve the highest quality and performance standards. This role requires a proactive problem-solving approach, leveraging Lean manufacturing principles, and collaboration with experts in mixing, forming, drying, quality, and operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance production processes.
- Implement product and process changes to meet customer requirements and Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
- Perform root-cause analysis using process and test data, ensuring sustainable corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through risk management and a process-based approach to quality.
- Provide timely support to address and resolve manufacturing issues.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of capital investment programs.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements and standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
- Provide technical support to Customer Service, Sales, and Quality Assurance teams.
- Assist in the integration and upgrade of Manufacturing 4.0 initiatives within the facility.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Science discipline.
- Ideally, 3+ years of experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PC skills (e.g., MS Office Suite, Minitab, JMP).
- Knowledge of pFMEA, 8D, DMAIC, and Kaizen processes is desirable.
- Experience in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis (Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus).
- Self-motivated with the ability to make independent decisions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with IATF core tools is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-up abilities.
