Position Structure: Full-time, 23-month fixed-term contract, with potential for extension based on funding (a 4-day week will be considered for the right candidate).

Travel: Routine travel within Dublin, occasional nationwide travel.

The Dental Health Foundation (DHF) is Ireland's leading independent charity dedicated to improving oral health and well-being. Since 1977, DHF has actively contributed to oral health promotion, supporting government policy, the Health Service Executive, and community groups. We aim to empower individuals to make better oral health choices, guided by evidence-based practices.

Position Overview

Following the completion of a feasibility study, the DHF is excited to recruit a motivated, strategic, and results-driven Head of Fundraising to join our management team and take the lead in securing major gifts from corporations, charitable foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. This newly created role will support DHF’s Case Campaign, aligned with Ireland’s Oral Health Policy (Smile agus Sláinte) and the WHO’s Global Oral Health Strategy. You will have the opportunity to shape and grow the fundraising programme, with scope to make it your own. We are seeking a self-starter with at least 8 years of experience in fundraising, major gifts, or philanthropy, who thrives in building relationships and driving strategic initiatives.

 Primary Responsibilities

• Secure significant major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations

• Identify, research, and build relationships with donors, especially within the oral health sector

• Develop a portfolio of key donor prospects and create tailored engagement strategies

• Research and apply for relevant grants

• Develop a corporate giving strategy to secure multi-annual partnerships

• Work with the DHF team to develop and implement new fundraising initiatives

 What We Require:

• Proven success in multi-annual fundraising and securing significant grants

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Passion for DHF’s mission and the ability to drive dynamic partnerships

• Sound judgment and an understanding of the non-profit and health sectors

• Third-level qualification (master’s preferred)

 Terms

Fixed-term contract for up to 23 months, with possible extension depending on funding

• Salary: €73,000 to €78,000 per annum, depending on experience

•25 days annual leave (You will be required to keep 3 days annual leave for the Christmas  Period).                                            

• Performance metrics will be set to evaluate the contract renewal after Year 1

Engineer Grade 2 – Alternative Fuels

The Network Management Division is responsible for the management of approximately 5,300km of Ireland’s national road network including approximately 1,300km of motorways and dual carriage-ways. The AFPU has responsibility for the delivery of the required alternative fuels recharging and refuelling infrastructure across the national road network. Reporting to the Head of the Alternative Fuels Projects Unit the Engineer Grade 2will support TIIs AFPU in meeting their mandated requirements as specified by the EU Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR, 2023/1804). The Regulation sets out a number of mandatory targets for the deployment of alternative fuels infrastructure in the EU. To achieve these targets the Engineer Grade 2 will be part of the AFPU team responsible for meeting the objectives set out in Article 20 of AFIR as regards EV data, as well as the delivery of various grant schemes being progressed to support the expansion of the EV recharging infrastructure network. In regards to the EV data project, Charge Point Operators are required to make their data open and freely available to stakeholders and data end users, under this Regulation. The Engineer Grade 2 will also support the Data Exchange Platform Manager and will work with the AFPU and external stakeholders (Motorway Service Area PPP Co’s, Charge Point Operators and eMobility Service Providers) to meet these targets, and will manage the IDRO registration process to ensure compliance with AFIR. The Engineer Grade 2 will work in an agile environment to deliver projects that will contribute to Ireland meeting its Climate Change targets.
