Part of a national dealer & product support team of 4. Responsible for the southern half of country, working alongside a Field Service Engineer for the Southern area, reporting to the Service Dept. Manager/Technical Director.

Job Specifications:

  • Responsible for all aspects of aftersales service within the assigned area/dealers.
  • Manage assigned dealers in providing market leading service and customer support to the end users
  • Liaise with colleagues and suppliers on daily basis to resolve technical and customer issues.
  • Liaise with relevant Area Sales Manager on regular basis to manage and develop dealers, resolve any customer issues or queries, and assist in maintaining/gaining market share of Farmhand products.
  • Actively lead dealers in professional representation and support of Farmhand supplied brands.
  • Split home & Farmhand office to field & dealer 70/30
  • Become familiar, comfortable with, and keep up to date with an ever-changing range of products through training, demos, and continuous self-development.
  • Attend product training internally and externally/internationally, where necessary, to keep product knowledge relevant.
  • Assist in and present in-house & in field dealer product & technical training on an ongoing basis.
  • Become familiar with warranty processes, and handling of customer and end user aftersales enquiries, to a highly professional degree.
  • Review, authenticate and approve/reject warranties from your dealers.
  • Keep daily records of work through company IT systems.
  • Always adhere to company H&S safety guidelines, highlighting any issues immediately to your manager.
  • Adhere to company guidelines and practices as outlined in employee contract and handbook.

Skills required:

  • Knowledge of farming practice and experience of agricultural machinery sector
  • Familiarity with farm machinery, their operation, maintenance and service.
  • Technical aptitude with high level of machinery/technical diagnostic experience
  • Willingness to learn and grow a career within the company.
  • Strive to become an integral part of the team, supporting, while also allowing support from colleagues.
  • Proactive approach to work, with proven ability to work on own initiative and ability to prioritise tasks according to urgency
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships, customer service focused.
  • Ability to stay level headed in high pressure situations
  • Organised, methodical and thorough in all work.
  • Flexibility to work longer hours and some travel abroad when required
  • Be highly professional at all times
  • Proficient with Ms Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other Microsoft packages.
  • Full clean driver’s license.
  • Willingness & ability to travel, both in within Ireland and abroad.
  • Flexibility with regard to working hours, to accommodate the nature of Agricultural industry, as well as suppliers time zones.
  • Self-starter, with excellent time management skills.
