€40-€55k per annum (DOE)

A leading Irish Main Contractor is seeking a Junior to Intermediate Buyer to join their procurement team in Dublin. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their career in construction procurement while working on high-profile projects across Dublin & Kildare. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in sourcing and procuring construction materials, plant, and subcontractor services
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and subcontractors
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any supply chain issues
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with project budgets and company procurement policies
• Work closely with the site teams and project managers to forecast material requirements
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and supplier agreements
• Work closely with Contracts Managers, Site Managers, and Quantity Surveyors to ensure materials are delivered on time and within budget

Key Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field is desirable
• 1-4 years of experience in procurement, buying, or supply chain management within the construction industry
• Knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and procurement best practices is highly desirable
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
