About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join a tier-1 main contracting construction company working on a large-scale, high-profile project in Dublin. This project, with a total value of €350 million, offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to its successful delivery while playing a key role in design coordination and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate the design process to ensure project requirements are met.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design issues.
• Review and approve design documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Oversee the timely submission of technical submittals and design deliverables.
• Ensure the project remains aligned with budgetary and timeline constraints.
• Monitor design changes and assess their impact on the construction program.
• Lead design meetings and manage communication between stakeholders.
• Work closely with the construction team to ensure seamless integration of the design on-site.
• Promote innovative and practical solutions to optimize design efficiency.

Requirements:

• Degree in architecture, engineering, or a construction-related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally on large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of design coordination and construction methods.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary design teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in design software and project management tools.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within strict deadlines.
