The successful candidate will play a key role in designing distribution transformers in accordance with customer specifications, working in tandem with both electrical and mechanical teams. Based on-site, the role involves close collaboration across departments to ensure customised solutions are developed and executed to the highest standard.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design distribution transformers in line with customer specifications and production capabilities.
• Create and manage material specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Prepare specifications, drawings, and technical documents for customer review.
• Oversee the manufacture and coordination of prototypes.
• Collaborate with R&D to enhance efficiency and product competitiveness.
• Optimise designs for performance and sustainability.
• Produce manufacturing instructions and technical drawings for factory use.
• Maintain and update technical specifications and documentation.
• Work with production teams to ensure design intent is carried through to final product.
• Provide support to all departments involved in the manufacturing process to meet quality and customer requirements.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with design tools such as CREO or similar.
• Preferable background in a manufacturing environment with an understanding of best practices.
• Familiarity with internal standards and quality compliance.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel for business as required.
• Previous SAP experience is desirable.
• Full clean driving license is an advantage.
