Electrical Engineer - West Dublin.
Our client company is engaged in the development, design and engineering of custom automated equipment for many of the world’s leading Medical Device and Life Science companies.
We have been retained to recruit an Electrical Engineer to join the company in a full time, permanent capacity. The successful candidate will spearhead the electrical design aspect of pioneering automation solutions. A broad and varied role which will garner exposure to play a pivotal part in every phase from proposal to execution.
Principal Accountabilities:
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to devise cost-effective electrical solutions for cutting-edge automation systems.
• Develop meticulous Electrical and Pneumatic schematics, ensuring adherence to international standards for seamless, compliant designs.
• Conduct rigorous evaluations of electrical components to optimise system performance and cost-effectiveness, delivering maximum value to clients.
• Generate comprehensive documentation, encompassing Bills of Materials, Hardware Design Specifications, and Machine Manuals, for streamlined reference and operation.
• Take a lead role in the Machinery CE Certification Process, guaranteeing compliance with the 2006/43/EC Machinery Directive to uphold product safety standards.
• Provide steadfast support to electrical teams throughout machine build, commissioning, and installation phases, facilitating a seamless transition from concept to reality.
• Identify and implement innovative solutions or processes to drive operational excellence and bolster competitive advantage.
• Actively engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives for skill enhancement, fostering personal and team growth to better serve customers.
Qualification, Experience and Knowledge requirements:
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an Electrical Engineering role.
• Bachelor's degree (L8) in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multi-functional project teams.
• Proficient troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and rectify electrical malfunctions, ensuring system functionality.
• Familiarity with EPLAN/AutoCAD Electrical is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proven experience in developing project timelines balancing budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
• Previous involvement in the technical design and specification of automation equipment.
