Electrician - County Offaly.

Core Duties:

Planning and scheduling of maintenance works to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimise downtime.
A practical approach to fault-finding together with a sound understanding of preventative maintenance and lean manufacturing principles
Ensure maintenance work is carried out to the Group’s required standard and within agreed budget spend on labour and materials in conjunction with the Site Maintenance Manager and the Site Accountant.
Use own initiative, knowledge and experience when designing, quantifying, manufacturing and installing mechanical services engineering plant and equipment in accordance with current guidance and legislation.
Monitor and ensure efficient running of mechanical services, engineering plant and equipment.
Carry out installation repairs and planned preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems, compressors, motors, pumps, heat recovery systems, ventilation systems and controls.
Actively participate in Lean Project Teams.
Maintain regular contact with installers and contractors to ensure that installation is completed to the required standards


Interested applicants should have:

A Trades Electrical Qualification with evidence of continuous professional development.
Previous experience in food production or other manufacturing environment.
Demonstrate a high level of technical ability with at least five years' relevant experience in a similar industry. Previous experience of Industrial Automation, Moving Equipment, Conveyors, Power Transmission, Refrigeration, PLC's, Bearing repairs, Pneumatic/Hydraulic parts and electrical aspects of machines is critical.
A high level of Safe Working Practices & Awareness.
Excellent analytical and fault finding skills
Good communication skills and strong teamwork capabilities.
Written and verbal communication skills in order to be able to liaise with staff at all levels of the organisation.
Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision.
Ability to work to deadlines.
