Maintenance Manager - County Meath.
Job Responsibilities: As the Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing the site maintenance strategy to ensure safe and efficient operations. Working in partnership with the production team, you will coordinate all activities to optimise plant availability, performance and quality. You will need to be a forward-thinking leader with strong communication & people skills.
• Proven track record in a Maintenance Department with at least 5 years' people management experience.
• Thorough understanding of the maintenance environment & best industry practices.
• Experience of maintenance techniques TPM, PPM, CBM & RCM.
• Ability to learn new systems quickly and identify process improvements to prevent failures.
• Ability to multitask while capable of making decisions quickly & effectively.
• Experience in using CMMS systems. SAP experience an advantage.
• Experience in stores management & stock control.
• Excellent problem solving & RCA skills.
• Excellent communication & organisational skills.
• Driven individual capable of motivating maintenance team & sustaining positive change on site.
• Engineer qualified or trade qualified with relevant industry experience.
Key Tasks and Duties:
• Ensure work is carried out in compliance with legislation and health & safety protocols.
• On-site management of all maintenance day to day activities. Provide leadership and support to team.
• Positively reinforce values & maintenance strategy to all employees on an ongoing basis.
• Managing the timely workload of the maintenance department while effectively dealing with site priorities .
• Creating & maintaining a culture driving continuous improvement throughout the plant.
• Identifying cost savings and driving cost efficiency within the manufacturing operation.
• Ensuring all Maintenance personnel are trained & developed so that optimum operational performance is achieved.
• Working closely with managers & teams to ensure that all issues are dealt with through open communications & teamwork.
• Mentor & coach team using RCA techniques to quickly identify root cause of downtime issues.
• Ensuring CMMS is used to its full potential and departments are actively using system to prevent reactive work.
• Continuously updating SAP CMMS to prevent future downtimes by continuously updating TPM's and PM's .
• Identify future site CAPEX projects before they affect KPI performance.
• Work with Engineering Project Manager & Plant Manager to implement strategy, standards & new techniques.
• Communicating effectively with maintenance departments across the group.
• Regularly providing progress reports to the Plant Manager.
