Principal CMMS Data Analyst Engineer - County Limerick.

Job Description

The Principal Engineer will report into the Maintenance Associate Director. The primary responsibilities of the candidate is to provide support, analysis & direction from the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
The ideal candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert using technologies such as Tableau, Data Visualization and MAXIMO tools.
This candidate will support the existing Computerized Maintenance Management System and help the business to get the maximum value from it. Examples being meantime between failures, top three hitters, etc.
This candidate will also act as a project leader during the implementation of system software updates.
This candidate will be the system Subject Matter Expert and will represent the maintenance department, discussing all matter relating to the CMMS systems, to regulatory bodies.
This candidate is expected to develop an understanding of the business and thereby help the organization to make the most effective use of the CMMS.

Associated Project work:
Project coordination helping drive change from preventative to predictive maintenance strategy.
Areas of focus for preventative vs predictive maintenance strategy:
• Identify assets
• Identify scope
• Establish working group of stakeholder to support activities identified
• Propose risk assessment (Pros vs cons of each strategy)
• AMS (Automated Maintenance System) owner
• Vibration monitoring / environmental monitoring initiation

Key Responsibilities:
• Support and assist the business in achieving maximum value from the CMMS system.
• Identify digital solutions to improve efficiencies within the Maintenance business processes.
• Promote the use of system functionality/capability to improve work processes.
• Resolve system problems using data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Lead the planning, implementation & integration of new CMMS releases for the site.
• Participate in the Security review and periodic review processes of CMMS with Site IT.
• Provide troubleshooting/help to CMMS system users.
• Be the site point of contact on CMMS for Global Maintenance & represent the site at global CMMS forums.
• Be the site expert on the information structure within the CMMS application and develop queries/reports to support standardisation.
• Assist Maintenance & QA by performing compliance checks within the CMMS e.g. audit trail review.
• Highlight opportunities to improve Maintenance business processes and lead/deliver the solutions.
• Assist with the update of the Global Business Continuity Plan for the CMMS.
• Participate in and support site audits as the CMMS expert.
• Carry out internal audits and periodic reviews of GMP activities to ensure compliance, to identify improvements and lead the delivery of these improvements.
• Own & approve system access to the CMMS system.
• Compile & present data on site Maintenance performance vs global metrics to Site Management.
• Interact with external parties (e.g. vendors).
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, latest technology standards and their implications to existing systems.

Interested applicants should have:
• At least 3-5 years’ experience delivering and supporting CMMS systems or equivalent systems.
• Highly regulated industry experience and knowledge of GMP and Data Integrity requirements.
• Demonstrated learning agility technically as well as with business processes and applications.
• Demonstrated initiative to build relationships, learn new business processes and identify opportunities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Active listening and leadership skills.

Educational Requirements:
BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or an equivalent

Key Attributes:
• Knowledge of CMMS systems (e.g. MAXIMO)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, JMP, BO etc
• Demonstrated ability to influence, lead & deliver change.
• Demonstrated aptitude and interest for problem-solving.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills – oral and written.
• Strong sense of customer focus and teamwork.
• Demonstrated willingness to collaborate with work colleagues.
• Proven flexibility to respond to issues.
• Proven ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality in the workplace.
