Production Supervisor - County Cavan.
In this role you will manage and oversee daily operations in this production facility to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. Responsible for managing the workflow, coordinating team members, and achieving production targets. The goal is to maximise production uptime while maintaining product quality and staff safety.
Complying strictly with highly regulated standards, you will run operations for your assigned areas including managing materials, housekeeping and SOP. You will plan and manage production activities in a way which drives operational efficiency and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Management
o Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of production staff, directly or via Team Leaders.
o Resource planning and assigning tasks to team members holding them accountable for achievement.
o Ensure training and guidance to employees on processes and equipment is provided.
o Conduct performance evaluations and address employee concerns or issues.
o Coach and develop potential talent
2. Production Oversight
o Proactively monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules and specifications.
o Implement and enforce quality control measures.
o Identify and troubleshoot operational issues to minimise downtime.
o Ensure production targets are met within allocated time and budget.
3. Safety and Compliance
o Enforce workplace safety regulations and protocols.
o Conduct safety spot checks and ensure compliance with company policies
4. Inventory and Equipment Management
o Manage the availability of raw materials, tools, and machinery.
o Track inventory levels and collaborate with Supply Chain to avoid shortages.
o Coordinate maintenance and repair of equipment to prevent disruptions.
5. Reporting and Documentation
o Maintain and analyse records of production, including output, efficiency, and quality metrics.
o Prepare reports for management on production progress, challenges and action plans.
o Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and quality assurance, design and engineering to optimise operations.
Skills and Qualifications required for this role:
• Proven experience in a supervisory/production control role.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and production tracking systems.
