Safety Officer – Dublin City Centre

€80,000 + Benefits, Bonus and Pension

We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join a leading main contractor delivering high-density residential projects in Dublin City Centre. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Construction Safety & Health Plan.
• Promote a proactive safety culture through on-site presence and regular engagement with staff and subcontractors.
• Conduct safety inductions, manage access control, and track training certifications.
• Collaborate with logistics teams on lifting plans, delivery coordination, and material movement.
• Carry out regular safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations, identifying areas for improvement.
• Review subcontractor safety documentation to ensure it meets safety standards.
• Maintain accurate safety records and track trends to identify potential risks.
• Oversee the site safety notice board and ensure safety messages are clearly communicated.
• Respond to public and stakeholder safety queries as needed.

Qualification

• 3+ yrs Health & Safety experience, with some in apartments construction
• Recognised health and safety qualification
• Trades or technical construction background (preferable)
