Warehouse Supervisor - County Cavan.

This role is designed to achieve high levels of satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, kitting and assuring quality and quantity of raw materials. Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employees’ performance. The role directs the stores daily activities via Stores Foreman.
Inventory management is core to the company's performance and this role oversees the management and control of inventories from site delivery to consumption in product, ensuring accuracy and optimizing availability.

Core Responsibilities:
Team Management
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff, directly or via Team Leaders.
- Resource planning and assigning tasks to team members holding them accountable for achievement.
- Ensure training and guidance to employees on processes and equipment is provided.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address employee concerns or issues.
- Coach and develop potential talent
- Create direction and Team Building

Warehouse Management

- Inventory analysis; identify and resolve discrepancies and problems.
- Stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
- Accurate inventory and material locations
- Timely and accurate communication with Production, Purchasing and other departments.
- Oversee stores maintenance and improvement.
- Ensure accurate receipt of goods and alignment with purchase order.
- Ensure accurate and optimum storage locations, delivery mechanisms and stock management mechanisms.
- Devise best practice for accurate and on time delivery to production locations and return of materials to warehouse
- Organise and maintain inventory storage areas.
- Measure and report inventory transaction accuracy
- Stock accuracy through inventory and cycle counting. Control stock levels and maintain ERP accuracy.
- Work closely with suppliers of semi-finished goods.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures.
- Identify and troubleshoot operational issues to minimise downtime.


Safety and Compliance

Enforce workplace safety regulations and protocols.
Conduct safety spot checks and ensure compliance with company policies.
Coordinate maintenance and repair of equipment to prevent disruptions.


Reporting and Documentation

Maintain and analyse records of production, including output, efficiency, and quality metrics.
Prepare reports for management on production progress, challenges and action plans.
Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and quality assurance, design and engineering to optimise operations.

Interested applicants should be able to dmonstrate a track record of warehouse management techniques and setting and maintaining KPI’s that exceed expectations.
Track record of leading and setting goals for performance and operational improvement.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to communicate, motivate, train and inspire others.
Experience in managing ERP and warehouse management tools.
Have customer satisfaction at the core of all activities.
Maintain awareness of key trends such as AI, WMS interface, inventory controls systems and automation.

Ideally a Diploma qualification in Warehouse Management, Logistics, Engineering or Manufacturing Management or similar.
At least 3 years' experience working in a stores management in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to analyse processes, enact change, and think operationally.
Highly effective supervisory skills and motivation techniques.
Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.
Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data.
Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
