WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
We are seeking to appoint a manager to join our Innovation and Entrepreneurship team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in both business development and operational management, helping us deliver our strategic mission and achieve measurable benefits for InterTradeIreland, as well as the businesses and stakeholders we support.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a senior member of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship team, you will ensure that InterTradeIreland is strategically positioned within the wider economic support ecosystem across the island. You will also work directly with businesses across all sectors to foster island-wide entrepreneurship, maximise clustering opportunities, and support innovation activities.
You will strategically develop and manage programmes in one, or more, of the following areas:
- Innovation
- Entrepreneurship
- Cluster Development
These include supporting entrepreneurs to start, grow, and scale their businesses; promoting SME participation in collaborative network and cluster activities, including cross-border collaborations; or helping SMEs explore, plan, and implement innovations to develop new products, services, and processes.

THE IDEAL PERSON WILL HAVE:
- A degree or equivalent third level qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years’ management experience in business/economic development including developing strategic initiatives or new business activities.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and delivering complex work projects and applying continuous improvement based on an understanding of emerging trends or technologies with demonstrable skill in setting performance milestones, targets and budgets.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience of proactively managing and effectively leading a team of reports, able to plan and organise work to achieve results within tight deadlines, focusing on priorities and objectives with a clear sense of direction.
- Financial management experience including budget building, forecasting and monitoring of complex annual budgets of scale.
