We are seeking a detail oriented, strategic and highly motivated Team Leader to join our Purchasing Administration Team. This is an ideal role for a positive, pro-active team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and will relish working under pressure.  

What you'll do

  • Liaising with our colleagues in Lidl International and other Lidl countries 
  • Leading and motivating a team  
  • Maintaining internal systems and databases in both English and German 
  • Actively engage and consult with other departments to ensure the integrity of the purchasing master data 
  • Identify and capture how data quality can be improved and create solution proposals 
  • Have an excellent understanding of procedures and processes relating to master data 
  • Working with both operations and head office teams to ensure productive and efficient processes 
  • Participate in or run projects at both a national and international level 

What you'll need

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships at all levels of the organisation 
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a team with a proven track record of developing team members 
  • Fluent in German 
  • Well-organised with the ability to multitask and work to targets and strict deadlines 
  • Previous project management experience, including planning, timelines and cost 
  • Strong ownership of tasks with the ability to understand points of escalation 
  • Proactive at keeping up to date with latest policies and procedures 
  • Efficient decision making and organisational skills 
  • The ability and confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues across all levels of the business 
  • Positive can-do attitude with a desire to learn 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel 

What you'll receive

Through our salary system, we ensure pay equality across all positions at Lidl

  • €49,500 rising to €63,000 after 3 years
  • 20 days holidays per annum rising to 25 days after two years
