We are excited to invite applications for the role of Associate Director, Capital Projects at our Dublin Biotech site. Reporting directly to the Site Engineering Lead, this position is critical as we launch a major multiproduct initiative. You will oversee the Capital Management Process, ensuring that projects align with our business objectives while leading cross-functional teams to success.
In this role, you will guide project strategies, conduct economic evaluations, and maintain high-quality and safety standards. You will collaborate with design contractors, monitor financial metrics, and manage the entire project delivery process, including operational readiness and technology transfer. As the main point of accountability, you will establish expectations for the Project Leadership Team and facilitate communication between them and other business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project initiatives to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Act as a liaison between the site, Operation Unit teams and Dublin Biotech Senior Leadership.
- Direct safety protocols throughout all phases of the project and foster an environment where team members feel comfortable reporting safety concerns.
- Develop and oversee project timelines, costs, and scope from start to operational completion, ensuring key milestones are met.
- Approve capital expenditures and provide regular status updates to the project sponsor.
- Ensure effective communication between the Capital Projects Team and stakeholders.
- Represent the team in governance forums and conduct comprehensive stage reviews.
- Lead diverse project teams to achieve objectives while managing all aspects of capital projects.
- Develop and implement customized project execution strategies for design, procurement and construction.
- Oversee economic evaluations, prepare funding requests and ensure financial reporting adheres to quality standards.
- Drive integration of the project team to deliver objectives efficiently while supporting productivity initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Science, Engineering, Technical or a related field.
- At least 8 years of leadership experience in a cross-functional environment.
- Proven project leadership experience in a biotechnology, vaccine or pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.
