Associate Principal Chemist (Associate Director level) - Tipperary

Your Core Responsibilities 

• As a Technical Leader, you will spearhead the development and research of new Drug Substances processes, ensuring alignment with filings and providing robust chemistry support for new drug applications.  
• Address the challenges of scaling up for piloting and launching of new products.  
• Immerse yourself in continuous chemistry / technical learning through external technical forums and research team links. 
• Seize the opportunity to identify and initiate process improvement strategies, where you can apply your scientific principles and business knowledge to the development and execution of small, impactful projects. 
• You will have the chance to provide real-time technical insights during production, handling deviations, and defining efficient cleaning processes for new products. 
• Support various technical investigations as needed, using LSS tools to resolve process issues and ensuring adherence to GMPs and safety guidelines all laboratory work. 
• Prepare necessary technical documentation and reports to support plant operations, tech transfer, and regulatory filings. 
• Be recognised as Chemistry subject matter expert through both internal and external presentations, interpretation and applying data to facilitate successful chemistry goals and proactively engaging with commercialization partners. 

Who You Are 

You are ready if you have: 

• Are you an expert in Chemistry with experience in Process development? 
• Have you proven your mettle in Research and development operations? 
• Can you provide technical guidance and demonstrate technical leadership? 
• Are you familiar with modern technologies and can you adapt to them and their use? 

Nice to have, but not essential: 

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry will be an advantage 
• Experience in recent scale up of processes for lab to small scale.
