An exciting opportunity to join the Brinny site as a Laboratory Planner. The laboratory planner will manage and optimise laboratory testing schedules for our Quality Control (QC) Laboratories. They will work with key stakeholders, internal and external, to Lab Ops, to identify and prioritize testing commitments and provide updates on testing status and schedule changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize testing commitments and provide status updates.
- Partner with Laboratory Operations Leads to enhance resource capacity and testing efficiency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and point of contact for the Model Area program, ensuring best practices and advocating for improvements.
- Recommend solutions to improve workflow and testing efficiencies.
- Lead initiatives for process enhancement to improve scheduling accuracy and operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP and other regulations while participating in EHS programs and quality management systems.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives using production system tools and provide coaching to cross-functional teams for enhanced scheduling accuracy.
- Provide coaching and training to by collaborating with cross functional teams to streamline processes, drive continuous improvement and enhance scheduling accuracy and efficiency.
Job Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry or similar environment.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical/chemical operations and Lean methodologies.
- Experience in scheduling, planning, or resource management within fast-paced settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge in more than one pharmaceutical and/or chemical manufacturing operation.
- Ability to influence positively and competently with different stakeholders in order to achieve the optimum testing schedule.
Qualifications:
- Degree or 3rd level qualification (Science/Quality).
- Desirable Project Management qualification such as, Project Management Professional.
- Desirable evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
