We have an exciting opportunity at Dundalk for a Site Engineering Director to join our Site Leadership Team. In this role, you will provide engineering leadership with a safety-first, quality-always mindset. As the Director of Engineering, you will partner with various teams across the site and network on strategic business directions and decisions. This position offers a unique chance to drive engineering excellence and contribute to the future success of our company. 

Your Core Responsibilities 

  • Serve on the Site Leadership Team to develop and deliver organizational priorities. 
  • Build, manage, coach, and mentor a diverse engineering team, including Maintenance, Utilities, Facilities, Engineering Center of Excellence, and Small Project teams. 
  • Build diverse talent with the capabilities necessary to enable the successful start-up of a state of the art vaccine facility across drug substance. 
  • Inspire, reward, and develop colleagues to help them reach their potential. 
  • Drive engineering excellence to ensure stable processes for commercial manufacturing. 
  • Develop the team, establish procedures, and create a long-term strategy. 
  • Own and drive the site and facilities strategic masterplan for future site investments. 
  • Ensure project milestones are achieved through integrated planning and execution. 

Who You Are 

You are ready if you have: 

  • Minimum Level 8 qualification (Honours Degree) in Engineering or Science. 
  • 8+ years of experience in a high-volume Pharmaceutical/BioPharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility/Site. 
  • Proven experience in leading skilled teams. 
  • Evidence of continuous professional/technical development. 
  • Effective leadership skills for team building, procedure establishment, and long-term strategy development. 
  • Knowledge of Environmental and Safety regulatory/code requirements to Irish, European, and International standards. 
  • Experience with continuous improvement and operational optimization techniques. 
  • Ability to manage results, track KPIs, and enhance team performance.
