Conference and Banqueting Manager required for busy 4* Hotel in Cork City. In this role you will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of all Conference, Meetings, Weddings and Events and coordinating all day to day activities in the Conference & Banqueting Department.
Requirements
· Experience in managing large volume, High end Conference and Events Operation
· Candidates need experience managing a very busy Wedding market to the highest standards
· Applicants must display highly effective, dynamic leadership and team management abilities
· Reliable, mature, motivated and above all professional person required.
· You must display very strong attention to detail and be very standards and service driven
· Proven experience in coaching, training , mentoring your team, job chats, appraisals, succession planning etc
· You need a positive attitude, a “can do” approach, friendly and outgoing personality
· 3 years minimum C&B Management experience needed, in a busy 4* Hotel.
· Work Permit is not available for this role, full legal status to work in Ireland is required.
· Fluent English and excellent IT and admin skills required
Responsibilities
· Manage daily operations and coordinating all areas of the Conference, Meeting and Events Dept
· Coordinate continually with Event organisers before and during each event.
· Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety, cleanliness and hygiene during buildup and on-Event
· Manage your Wedding Events effectively and efficiently
· Complete Duty Management shifts on a regular basis
· Observe all shift and opening / closing procedures adhering to all EHO guidelines
