We are currently recruiting experienced Pastry Chef for a busy 4* hotel in Cork
Ideal candidate will require 3+ years experience in a similar role in 4/5* hotel with excellent Food reputation, substantial Event business and recognised high standards
Personal Qualities
- Be motivated, being able to work alone or in a team with good personal organization.
- Excellent hygiene and grooming standards
- Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
Duties include but are not exclusive to:
- To help prepare and produce all dishes on-site to a consistently high standard.
- To ensure all preparation of the pastry section is complete and ready for each service.
- To prepare, cook and present all dishes to the correct menu specification regarding quality and quantity.
- To oversee services & to ensure all dishes are presented to the standard required
- To prepare & serve desserts for Breakfast, Conferences, Bar Food, Bistro Dinner & Functions from 30-300 guests
- To follow any instructions given by the Health & Safety Manager and to offer full support at all times in the implementation of all necessary controls
- To assist the Head Chef in maintaining quality of ingredients and suppliers
- To assist in managing purchasing cycles and be aware of stock rotation issues
- To ensure all agreed cleaning schedules and adhered to and HACCP guidelines and principles are followed
