We are recruiting experienced Senior Sous Chef for busy Gastropub in Cork. We are looking for imaginative and motivated colleague with a passion for cooking to add to our Client's Kitchen team. We are currently recruiting experienced Senior Sous Chef with experience in a similar role i.e. busy Gastropub or Restaurant with all day food business.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications, develop new dishes with H/C.
- Take overall responsibilty and manage Kitchen when Head Chef is on days off, annual Leave etc.
- Responsible for daily purchasing, checking weekly stock levels, stock rotation, daily specials, theme menus etc
- Maintain a hygienic working Kitchen whilst adhering to HACCP system and all EHO health & safety standards.
- Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment.
- Restock items as needed throughout the shift, care and cater for your section.
- Be flexible, this is a very busy kitchen requiring structure and teamwork. Coach , mentor and support less experienced team members.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar quality food background and role.
- Experience working GastroPub or Hotel with Bar/Bistro/Brasserie style outlets
- HACCP Knowledge and Training.
- Certification from a recognised body is preferred.
- Flexibility to work with other disciplines within the Kitchen and a team player.
- Own transport will be beneficial but property is close to Public Transport link also
- Current legal status to live and work in Ireland, No Work Permit available
