Sanderson are partnering with an esteemed international law firm to recruit a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis, where you'll play a pivotal role in the financial operations. Collaborating closely with the Head of Finance & Finance Team, you'll contribute to the firm's commercial growth by maintaining meticulous financial records, aiding in the production of statutory accounts, and engaging with various external stakeholders. This position is hybrid working, two days per week in the Dublin office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide financial support to the local management team, assisting in the creation of the annual budget.
- Collaborate with local teams to ensure effective cost control and accurate accounting practices.
- Work alongside local management and central credit control to manage debt effectively.
- Analyse centrally provided financial data, focusing on key performance indicators related to billing and cash flow.
- Generate and analyse commercial data to identify trends and inform management decisions.
- Maintain local accounting records, processing transactions and journals accurately.
- Monitor internal control systems to ensure compliance with Group accounting policies.
- Assist in local tax and regulatory reporting, including VAT, and liaise with external auditors.
- Aid in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts.
- Support the local team in financial management activities.
- Assist in bill production, ensuring compliance with legal and tax requirements.
- Conduct analysis of credit notes and provide root cause analysis.
- Ensure accurate posting of all accounting transactions.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA/ACA
- Big 4 Training is essential
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, particularly in dashboard creation.
- Experience in finance within an international organisation is desirable.
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards and local accounting regulations.
- Proficient in processing Accounts Payable on an ERP platform.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritising client service.
- Comfortable multitasking and managing conflicting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
