Maintenance Manager

Maintenance Manager - Kildare
Sanderson is working with a well-known Irish FMCG, and they're looking for a maintenance manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:

• Enhance plant efficiencies, focusing on maintenance issues identified via Flex system.
• Design and implement maintenance strategies and procedures.
• Collaborate with production team to meet schedules and resolve maintenance issues.
• Manage and update the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Diagnose breakdowns and develop preventative maintenance programs.
• Ensure continuous supply of electrical and mechanical services.
• Participate in lean initiatives for plant efficiency improvement.
• Develop and up-skill the maintenance team; liaise with Factory Manager on staffing needs.
• Install and commission new equipment.
• Set and achieve maintenance budget and targets.
• Oversee the Maintenance PO system.
• Monitor and report on utility costs.
• Maintain good relations with critical suppliers and manage spare parts inventory.
• Ensure service contracts and contractor management procedures are in place.
• Meet KPI targets related to maintenance performance and report on them.
• Ensure statutory maintenance testing and accurate site documentation.
• Oversee timely calibration of equipment and annual certification of firefighting equipment.
• Manage plant safety, environmental, quality, and hygiene standards for audits.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• Electrical qualification with industrial experience.
• Practical application of engineering principles.
• Project management experience.
• Proven team development and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Customer and results-oriented with high service standards.

Desirable:

• Experience with controls, PLCs, software, and automated equipment.
