People Manager
Sanderson is partnering with their international Sales client to recruit a permanent People Manager who is responsible for an end-to-end generalist remit. The People Manager will report directly to the Managing Director and have one direct report. You will play a pivotal role in the delivery of all operational and strategic processes, ensuring compliance as well as driving strategic initiatives related to performance, training, recruitment, retention and talent development.
Responsibilities:
Operational HR Processes:
- Manage end-to-end HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and attendance management.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, benefits administration, and leave management.
- Maintain employee records and handle HR-related documentation.
Employment Law and Compliance:
- Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations.
- Advise leadership on compliance matters and mitigate legal risks.
- Handle employee relations issues, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
HR Systems and Automation:
- Implement and optimise HR systems to streamline processes.
- Leverage technology for efficient data management and reporting.
- People Development and Training:
- Design and execute training programs to enhance employee skills.
- Foster a learning culture and support career development.
Performance and Attendance Management:
- Implement performance appraisal processes.
- Monitor attendance records and address absenteeism.
- Implement policies and procedures related to attendance.
Recruitment:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to fill open positions.
- Conduct interviews and assess candidates.
Succession Planning and Management Development:
- Identify high-potential employees and create succession plans.
- Develop leadership pipelines and talent pools.
Commercial Acumen:
- Understand business objectives and align HR strategies.
- Analyse HR metrics to drive business success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with expertise in operational processes and employment law.
- Be willing to travel from time to time within Ireland as needed to support your colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to contribute to business growth.
- Familiarity with HR systems and automation tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
