Sourcing Category Expert - IT/ICT

As the IT Strategic Sourcing Expert you will develop & execute sourcing strategies to leverage relationships to achieve best total value.

• This includes category management strategy & execution, supplier relationship management, negotiation, risk management & supply base performance management.
• You will have knowledge, skills & experience to design & deliver sourcing strategies in a global env. with both niche & blue-chip OEMs
• Responsible for leading global cross functional teams to develop, communicate & approve sourcing strategies.

Sourcing Responsibilities

• Drafting, negotiating IT Master agreements including licenses agreements, SaaS services, professional/consulting services, SLA agreements with support from Legal teams.
• Negotiation planning & contracting with suppliers, ensuring that agreements reflect the global requirements
• Developing & implementing sourcing strategies to establish & maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers within IT Category.
• Responsible for leading global cross functional teams through the supplier selection process & for the approval of selected suppliers by stakeholders.
• The team-based supplier selection process means: identification of potential suppliers, RFX design & execution, proposal evaluation against biz needs & TCO & supplier selection recommendation.
• Upon stakeholder approval & completion of successful negotiation & contracting.
• Challenge Suppliers & internal Stakeholders to identify & deliver value & savings within the assigned IT Category

Stakeholder Management

• Manage & conduct QBRs with strategic supplier
• Ensure regular connect with key stakeholders
• Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate new technology onboarding & identify technology rationalisation opportunities

• Person Specification:
• Degree in Business Supply Chain, Eng etc
• 8+ years' experience in IT sourcing.
• Ideally 5 years in IT Category Mgt. in Software Licensing (SaaS, Subscription, Perpetual)

• Strong negotiation skills with experience in complex negotiations & supplier management within the IT category
• Prior experience of working with suppliers like Pega, Salesforce, Adobe, Google, Cisco, Avaya is advantageous
• Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
• Work in a fast-paced matrix environment
• Lead & influence cross-functional teams.
• Very strong interpersonal, influencing & communication skills.
• Project Management in complex multi-project & multi-geography environment
• Lean Six Sigma ideally
• Proficiency with SAP & MS Office applications (including PowerPoint, Excel & Word).
