The Executive Office (TEO) is seeking to appoint a Director and five Other Members of the Office of Identity and Cultural Expression (OICE).
For the role of the Director, we are looking for an inspirational individual who is passionate about making the most of this unique opportunity to represent the OICE as its main figurehead, engaging with a significant number of stakeholders to help positively promote the aims of the OICE. This lead role will require an individual who can display excellent empathy and communication skills to bring forward work in the complex area of identity and culture.
The other members of the OICE will serve an important role in supporting the Director in setting the strategic direction for the OICE. Additionally, they will be responsible for carrying out the required governance and oversight role associated with the OICE.
The Director role is a full time post. Other Members will be expected to commit to approximately 1 day per month (with additional days required for training in the initial years.)
The term of appointment for all members will be for a period of 5 years, with the possibility of renewal for a second term, subject to satisfactory performance.
The remuneration for the Director will be in line with the Northern Ireland Civil Service Senior Civil Service (SCS) (Grade 5 equivalent and within the range of £79,237 to £88,908 per annum – under review). This appointment is pensionable. Remuneration for the Other Members will be £2500 per annum. These positions are not pensionable.
