Human-Centred Design Specialists (Service & Innovation) in the Civil Service

The Irish Civil Service is a large complex organisation employing over 49,000 people in approximately 40 Government Departments and offices and a range of other bodies. Public servants and public service organisations play a critical role in providing frontline services to help meet the needs of people and implement government policy.

The Government’s Better Public Services - Public Service Transformation 2030 Strategy sets out a Strategy for Inclusive, high quality and integrated Public Service provision that meets the needs, and improves the lives, of the people of Ireland.

The Civil Service now require highly motivated, skilled, and organised Human-Centred Design Specialists (Service Design & Innovation) at Administrative Officer Level. The successful candidates will have excellent design skills and expertise in areas such as Service Design, Interaction Design or Product Design.

These roles offer a unique opportunity to enhance public services and positively impact citizens' lives through carefully designed services and innovative design solutions.

A panel will be formed, in an order of merit, from which any future vacancies for Human Centred Design Specialists (Service & Innovation) arising across other Civil Service Departments or Offices may be filled.

Please note: The majority of vacancies are expected to arise in Dublin.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is 3pm on Thursday 6th February 2025.
