 The role:

Are you a dynamic and results-oriented individual with a passion for media sales? The Irish Times is seeking a driven Account Executive to join the Recruitment & Education team as part of our Media Solutions division. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in maximising revenues across our diverse range of digital, print, events, and product offerings.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Client Relationship Management: Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients and agencies, serving as a trusted advisor and point of contact.
• Revenue Generation: Drive revenue by proactively pitching our offerings and responding to briefs with tailored advertising proposals.
• Proposal Creation: Collaborate with existing sales teams to craft high-quality advertising proposals that align with client objectives.
• Market Analysis: Review competitive intelligence reports and devise strategies to enhance market share and capitalise on emerging trends.
• Product Development: Contribute to the growth and development of Irish Times advertising channels, including events, audio, and content studio.
• Campaign Optimisation: Analyse campaign performance metrics and collaborate with relevant teams to optimise performance and deliver results to clients.
• Market Insights: Stay informed about the latest market opportunities and trends, identifying areas for expanding the portfolio of Irish Times Media Solutions offerings.
• Support Functions: Assist account managers with pitch preparation, roadshows, client events, and other promotional activities as needed.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate sales records and files to ensure efficient operations and compliance with company policies.
• Representational Duties: Represent The Irish Times Group at various business-related functions, conferences, and promotions.
• Training and Development: Engage in both on-the-job and off-the-job training to enhance skills and stay abreast of industry best practices.

 Qualifications and Experience:

• Qualification / Relevant Experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Proven experience in sales or advertising, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and insights to inform sales strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with CRM software.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Knowledge of the recruitment landscape and advertising industry trends is desirable.
