CSC Partners Recruitment is working on an exclusive assignment for a leading known brand in Dublin. Reporting into the Group CFO and Financial Controller, we are looking for an enthusiastic, qualified Accountant who has an interest in developing a wider skill set in a role that will enable them to learn all about the business. It’s a very hands-on role and a great opportunity for business process improvements as part of this role and an ability to critically analyse processes and suggest, document, and implement improvements will be a vital part of this role.

Proficiency in MS office are key skill requirements, as much of the data will be exported into excel for analysis. This is a lovely role with a family feel company.

You will need to be proficient in monthly accounts preparation and balance sheet reconciliations as there are many intercompany transactions that require tracking and reconciling. Experience in consolidation work and working with multi currencies would be an advantage.

  • Gain an understanding of the business and documentation and review of existing procedures around setting up financial aspects of the business, recommend and take ownership of making improvements
  • Work with the accounting team to ensure all transactions are allocated correctly
  • Liaise with Group CFO in the setting up of, and execution of foreign exchange forward contracting for the business
  • Develop a set of month end close off procedures to ensure key reporting dates in the Group are met. Work closely with Group CFO with regards to monthly intercompany reconciliations and any other month end routines as requested
  • In conjunction with Financial Controller, develop a set of monthly KPIs that can be shared within 10 days of month end, and seek to improve on the speed with which this information can be shared over the course of the year
  • Assisting with payroll reporting
  • Assist Group CFO with bi-monthly group VAT returns as requested
  • Liaising with International VAT authorities for filing VAT related to operation
  • Assist the Group CFO in preparation of Group Cashflow projections as required
  • Assess the system and make improvements through ensuring all transactions are accurately and timely entered on to the system, and verify costings to ensure the accuracy of gross margin analysis reporting
  • Assess the current procedures around supplier payments to streamline this process and ensure all liabilities are accurately recorded, authorized and paid in line with credit terms. Improve supplier reconciliation procedures to provide assurance that risk of duplicate payments is eliminated.
  • Assist in the design and compilation of annual Budget and review of rolling 3 year plan in conjunction with Financial Controller and Managing Director
  • Review Overhead spending against budget and recommend any improvements
  • Work with CFO to move to quarterly or monthly reallocation of management overhead charges.
  • Assist in preparation for annual audit process as requested.
  • Prepare financial information for other interested parties - such as Insurers, Banks as requested
You will be a qualified accountant with 2-3 years PQE. Either coming from a practice or industry background and looking to enhance your skills in a quality driven service environment whilst being mentored by an experienced team.
