Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician- South Dublin. Position Summary:
Perform maintenance assignments in line with health & safety, operational, quality and work instructions, procedures and policies to ensure the production of quality product in a timely, safe, efficient and compliant manner. Takes the lead on a variety of routine and non-routine assignments requiring judgment to resolve whilst coaching and mentoring Equipment Maintenance Technicians.

Key Responsibilities :

Lead, drive and implement project improvement work and Lean Six Sigma activity plant wide.
Coach, train and mentor other team members. This will include technicians and/or operational personnel.
Supervise other technicians as required.
Provide point of contact and support service contractors as required.
Assist in the provision of technical support on a range of manufacturing equipment including complex automation assembly equipment to achieve a high level of equipment reliability and quality product with minimal defects.
At all times adhere to PPE (personal protective equipment), LOTO (lock out tag out) and GMP site requirements.
Support culture of safety management through compliance with all safety policies, safety observation reporting.
Identify and lead continuous improvement projects so as to achieve greater operational efficiency.
Main liaison between Programs & Maintenance Team on the commissioning of new equipment / projects.
Maintain automation equipment in excellent condition ensuring consistent quality, output and yield.
Support all safety initiatives and policies.
Drive systematic root cause problem solving and troubleshooting to resolve issues and provide guidance and leadership to other Equipment Maintenance Technicians.
Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance, completing all associated paperwork, and CMMS records to cGMP standards.
Ensure PM's and Calibrations are performed 100% on time
Lead and implement process improvements to achieve more efficient operations while adhering to change management and cGMP requirements.
Order and maintain appropriate stock of spare parts.
Develop PM & W.I. procedures for plant wide equipment and upload to document control systems.
Generate and present OEE reports.
Flexibility to work a shift pattern and availability to travel to support new equipment and/or training.

Interested applicants should have:

Level 6, 7 or 8 HETAC Qualification in Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical / Automation Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or similar.
Qualified trades personnel with industrial experience will also be considered.
Experience in high volume automation / robotics required.
Experience in Healthcare medical device manufacturing environment highly desirable.
Experience in Pneumatics, Electronics, Hydraulics, Programmable Controllers, Servo Motor drives, Vision Systems, Ultrasonic welding, workshop machining desirable.
Understanding of Process Capability.
Understanding of MSA or GR&R.
Experience in leading process improvements projects in medical device environment.
Experience in FAT, SAT, IOPQ of automated assembly lines.
Systematic and structured troubleshooting / problem solving skills.
Ability to provide innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
Adherence to change management procedures and c-GMP requirements.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
High level of safe working practices and awareness.
Computer literate with MS Office Skills.
