Cpl Healthcare are delighted to have partnered with Children's Health Ireland in the recruitment of a senior nurse manager for a strategic digital development nursing role. The role is at Director of Nursing level.

As Chief Nursing Information Officer(CNIO) the successful applicant will:

  • Provide strategic leadership to the executive nursing team with regards to digital developments
  • Provide expert clinical informatics advice and guidance
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to ensure clinical and patient/family involvement in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of digital systems and services in particular the Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR).
  • Enable, promote and champion the development of a clinically appropriate information culture across the CHI.
  • Provide clinical leadership, expert clinical advice and guidance to the Informatics service and senior management in relation to the use and development of Information Technology in Children’s Health Ireland
To be considered eligible for this role the following selection criteria apply:

  • Registered, or eligible for registration in the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the NMBI
  • Minimum 10 years post registration nursing experience and 5 years nursing management experience at a minimum of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM 2) in an acute setting.
  • Have successfully completed a post registration programme of study Level 8 or higher in a health care or management related area.
  • Have considerable experience in the area of Health Informatics.
  • Experience in change management
  • Candidates must possess the requisite clinical, leadership and managerial knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of this post.
  • MSc in health informatics or another information related discipline highly desirable
  • Project management experience highly desirable
