Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Shannon is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team.



Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance to all applicable regulatory standards and current GMP procedures and practices.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings
  • Understands the Roughness Parameters and measuring techniques
  • Knowledge of GD&T and the ability to inspect the GD&T parameters
  • Perform product defect analysis.
  • Good Knowledge in QC Tools and how to use
  • Routine final functional testing, product release criteria testing/inspection and recording of test results.
  • Ensure testing is completed in a timely manner
  • Familiar with technical drawings, CMMS, GD&T and standard instruments.
  • Review and update of QA Documentation.
  • Good Knowledge in Calibration & Calibrating the Mechanical Instruments
  • Control of non-conforming product.
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement investigations.
  • Experience in handling & measuring with different types of mechanical [Analog / Digital] measuring instruments
  • To provide assistance and support to the Quality Engineering and Operations function.
  • Provision of excellent service to all internal customers for the production group or functional area in which they work.
  • Decision-making ability coupled with the ability to work on one’s own initiative and with minimum supervision is required.
  • Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills.
  • Target driven and the ability to work on their own initiative


Qualifications/ Experience

  • Diploma/Degree in Quality or Engineering Discipline is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years in the manufacturing sector.
Decision-making ability coupled with the ability to work on one’s own initiative and with minimum supervision is required.

  • Ideally strong mechanical and manufacturing knowledge
  • Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
